The Project

Located at the historic Golden State Creamery site, the Creamery Marketplace reimagines a downtown landmark for future generations. Drawing from the original group of buildings, updated facades, pedestrian spaces, and covered walkways reinforce a cohesive creamery identity while improving connectivity throughout the site.

Surface parking was removed and replaced with a new multi tenant building and a lively pedestrian plaza, creating an outdoor gathering space for dining, drinks, and community. Spikes Bar, a longtime local favorite, was expanded to open directly onto the plaza, strengthening the connection between indoor and outdoor activity.

New and revitalized dining options, including La Esquina Taqueria and renovated spaces for Mama’s Meatballs, Goshi, and Foremost, position the Creamery Marketplace as a distinctive destination for food, shopping, and social life in downtown SLO.
