The Courtyard by Marriott in Downtown SB offers a refreshing splash of mid-century modern architecture in contrast to the typical Spanish aesthetic the area is known for.

This iconic hotel originally opened in 1959 as the classic El Prado motor inn. It was later awarded historic landmark status. During the expansion and renovation, the design team focused on maintaining the historic hotel's distinct geometries and enhancing its original mid-century architectural features while doubling the number of guestrooms. New modernized amenity spaces were added, enhancing the strong indoor and outdoor connection of the hotel's common areas.

With this refresh, this beautiful, coastal mid-century gem will continue to be an iconic landmark for years to come!
