Rockview at Sunset

We love working with our affordable housing partners to help create better housing opportunities for all. Completed in partnership with HASLO, ‘Rockview at Sunset’ is a new apartment complex with amazing panoramic views overlooking Morro Rock and the iconic Morro Bay smokestacks. Conveniently nestled between CA-1 and Atascadero Road, this coastal-craftsman apartment project offers affordable one, two, and three-bedroom options set around a private central outdoor courtyard, and is just minutes away from shopping, schools, parks, the beach, and the Embarcadero.

Designing this building proved challenging because of the site’s steep slope and archaeologically sensitive status; the building uses thick mat slab foundations, several stepped building pad heights, and plenty of above-ground bioswale planters to limit the soil disturbance.
