The Project

Straddling a creek and weaving among historic oak trees, this project embraces its natural as well as its built environment. Santa Barbara is known for its Spanish Colonial style architecture, and this project is no exception. From the colorful tiles at the stairs, to the arched elements used everywhere from large openings to small fireplace details, this project fits right in. Calling back to the creek, the design team used a stone wall entry with the profile of a rolling hill to create a natural and inviting entry point.
